Vanuatu is a South Pacific Ocean country made up of around 80 islands that stretch 1,300 kilometers. The islands offer scuba plunging at coral reefs, submerged sinkholes and wrecks, for example, the WWII-time troopship SS President Coolidge. Harborside Port Vila, the country's capital and financial focus, is on the island of Efate. The city is home to the Vanuatu National Museum, which investigates the country's Melanesian culture.
