Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone is a nation in West Africa, on the Atlantic Ocean. It's known for the white-sand shorelines coating the Freetown Peninsula. The capital city, Freetown, celebrates the country's slave-exchange history with the Cotton Tree milestone and King's Yard Gate. Both were known as spots of shelter for returned slaves in the eighteenth and nineteenth hundreds of years. Close by Bunce Island was a key takeoff point during the slave exchange.
