Falkland Islands

The Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) are a remote South Atlantic archipelago. With tough territory and precipice lined coasts, its many islands and islets are home to sheep ranches and rich birdlife. The capital, Stanley, sits on East Falkland, the biggest island. The town's Falkland Islands Museum has themed exhibitions dedicated to marine research, characteristic history, the 1982 Falklands War and different subjects.
